ACTION

Oltrepassare is a walking performance that combines movement, sculpture and sound. Two bodies in relation to each other dialogue with the landscape as they walk uphill, and the audience following them can explore a new perception of space, a different sonic and visual sensation of a familiar passing place.

The performers interact with each other and with the landscape through two portable sound sculptures which, connected to microphones placed in their shoes, amplify their movements and the varying texture of the ground/soil on which the bodies move.

VISION

We offer the audience an outstanding physical, emotional and aesthetic experience that uses dance, visual arts and technology to change the way we look at the familiar landscape. The city, as an organism of full and empty, closed and open spaces, is conceived as capable of influencing the way we move and perceive.

In Oltrepassare, the public space is the main protagonist of the performance and directly determines the physical dramaturgy, which adapts to a different route each time. The two performers interact with the urban/natural landscape and the passers-by through a choreographic score of steps and rhythms structured in modular forms that adapt to the specific characteristics of each location.
