LAMPONI is a performance that evokes a painting from the past. The scene of three young women and a tray of red
fruit becomes the occasion for a danced divertissement that plays with the possibility of giving action to a still life by composing a different frame each time. Starting from a canonical representation of women in painting and literature, an apparent feminine frivolity is evoked, which turns into a voluptuous monstrosity and then disappears with the same lightness.

The performance recalls the figure of the woman in the history of art – portrayed by male artists as divine or miserable, infinitely beautiful and extremely hateful, powerful and capable of the most extreme passions; whereas in reality, before the modern age, most women could neither read nor write, had to marry and give birth, owned nothing and were the property of men.
